Cops can run you over, and they call that in the line of duty. You run a
cop over, it's attempted murder.

Cops and break down your door, and shoot you. They call that in the line
of duty. You protect yourself, and they charge you with murder.

They use technology (radio, internet, etc), in the line of duty. We use
technology to protect ourselves, we are terrorists.
