When your only tool is a hammer, every problem is a nail, isn't it, Chris?

Loopback mounts aren't exactly a viable solution in Windows.

Some of us live in corporate environments and don't use Linux on our
workstations. You live in an academic world, particularly in a
department there that loves "banning Windows". Sure, it makes business
sense there, considering that (a) spyware is annoying and time
consuming, and (b) all the programming stuff in the weather simulation
dept can be done with FOSS tools.

I and a few others here live in hybrid world where some of what we do is
FOSS-oriented and some isn't. Tools like filedisk help us adapt to the
madness.
