Thanks for the hints Peter, I will try that out.
Looks like your already testing etckeeper :) good to hear about that too.
Pretty much what your doing is exactly what I need to do we are stuck
in cshrc land due to vendor tools though... I remember a time when I
loved (t)cshrc but that was a long time ago when I was young...
