Hey
Apologies for the IRC being down. This is something that DK has been
working on. He's busy with work and I'm moving this weekend.
There is nothing inherently wrong with freenode.
The IRC server we use interacts with other nodes of a common IRC
network. I believe its called OZ. If you ever looked there were
several channels besides #linuxusers. The main reason as far as i
know of using it was SSL connectivity as well as trusting it in gereral.
As far as having a #srcle group on freenode I don't have an opinion
but FYI the #linuxusers channel will be back up soon.
