Hey folks. Out of curiosity... I see there was a thread that stated the groups IRC server was down, but nothing stating it was back up. Is there any update on that?
Perhaps some dialog is in order about simply creating a channel on the Freenode network. This would relieve the burden of keeping a server going. I looked around but did not notice an official channel yet for the group. There's also a registration process for official groups that can be used to identify us which I think would be a great idea for us.

Also, a channel name should be determined. I kind of like #socallinux but what is every one else's thoughts on the matter?
