Yes, I now have 4 of them: 3 2500s from Jim (2 2501s and a 2503) and one
3600 from Dante, all with Cisco's "DB60" ports (standard on the single-
board 2500s, WIC-1T cards on the 3600). Thanks a lot to both Jim and
Dante!
Now I just need to re-learn IOS: the last time I've messed with Cisco
routers was about 10 y ago and I have forgotten just about everything.
But oh well, that's just part of life: a CSU/DSU product needs to be
tested and proven working with a "major brand" WAN router in order to be
taken seriously.
Does anyone have any pointers to helpful resources for learning IOS? I
am not looking to become certified-anything, just learn enough of IOS to
do test setups involving Cisco routers with Ethernet and non-Ethernet WAN
interfaces, the WAN interface being a "smart serial" port connected to a
CSU/DSU of my own make.
