Hi Mark,
Welcome! I too am a new member to this group - having joined this
month.
There is also a Linux Users Group based in Redlands:
http://rd-foerster.com/LUGIE/index.html
You just missed their meeting for this month. I have been meeting with
them for about two months.
Since I am relatively new, I don't know too much about SRCLUG, and I
have not attended a meeting yet :-(
but this is a quote from the group webpage, "This group is based of
people from all around the Inland Empire, Orange County and Los Angeles
county areas."
Looking forward to getting to know this group!

Subject: [LinuxUsers] Groups in the area
Hi all, I just found this group today and was wondering, what regional
subgroups are there that make up SoCal Linux Users? I'm in Redlands and
am wondering if there are meetings that I could go to on a fairly
regular basis.
If there is *not* a regular meeting of Linux Users in or around
Redlands, would anyone like to begin having them?

I ask mostly because I am endeavoring to start an Open Source advocacy
group at my school and would love to have a bigger, more accepted group
to sort of parent us while we get our feet on the ground. Perhaps the
start of next month, anyone interested could meet somewhere in Redlands
and enjoy some demos, pass out fliers, stuff like that. I'm looking at
the first meeting of my baby group being April 29th, so the first week
of May would be a good time to have a meeting somewhere in Redlands.
I'm also taking suggestions for location. I'm not a native, I am not
sure what would be the best place.
