Gecko (what FF is based on) was designed around delivering more then
just web content and webkit was designed as a light weight, fast
rendering browser. Example: Firefox has the RSS features built into it
where as Google offer sGoogle Reader google.com/reader for rss. Prior
to Firefox the previous Mozilla was more then a browser. It included
mail, newsgroup, and irc client. Different strokes for different folks
is all it is.
