Not absolutely certain, but I assume unlocked means exactly that... that 
you don't need code, and you never will, for this particular version.

Now the thing with Crossover is it's really more naturally a 
subscription type product. If you get a version of it now, and really 
like it, at some point you will likely want the next version. Crossover 
has to change to keep up with new releases of the proprietary 
applications that it helps you install on WINE.
