[LinuxUsers] DVD Shrink

DVD95, k9copy and slysoft all sound like good stuff.
I have one more question. 
Do you guys think I will be able to run this stuff, and copy a dual layer dvd using
a ubuntu live, and having only 512mb ram?

That is all my friend has on his computer.
