Were you using AT&T dsl or connectivity (including legacy PacBell
dsl). Yesterday there was a major peering issue with Savvis and
multiple networks. We noticed it around 7:00 AM and as of 2:00 PM
when I went home, it still was not resolved. Our biggest
manifestation was that anybody from AT&T (and legacy PacBell space)
could not reach our IP space announced by us via BGP (announced
through Savvis), but our older IP space which is announced directly by
Savvis itself via BGP was reachable by those same cablemodem users.
The Savvis engineers were aware that there was a problem and could
only say it was a peering issue with several networks, but no more
detail existed beyond that. There was no master case number at the
time I contacted them, nor by the time I left.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second,
it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
