A friend of mine used his soldering iron to mend the cable on the power 
supply, so I've been playing with the new Eee-PC last night and this 
morning.  It's an interesting default interface, but I'll probably 
switch to Ubuntu.

Unless anyone has any other suggestions <smile>?

I'm going out to brunch at a local deli downtown Riverside; I'll get a 
chance to see battery life and test out Riverside's downtown free 
wireless as well.

I'll probably end up buying a new sprint USB adapter; I think I've seen 
someone at one of the meetings using it with an Eee-PC, and then I can 
use my Sprint connection with the new toy <smile, again>.
